Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication

You can use two-factor authentication to add an extra layer of security to your account. When you sign in with two-factor authentication enabled, we'll send you a confirmation code. This means that in order to log into your account, you'll need both your username and password as well as this code.

We currently support sending your verification code via SMS and hope to add other options later.

Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication

  • Open up your account menu
  • Tap on "Settings"
  • Tap on "Two-Factor Authentication"
  • Toggle the feature on and confirm your phone number to receive the code
On iOS: On Android:

Once you confirm your phone number, we'll give you a backup code. If you ever lose your phone, you can use this code instead of the one we send you via SMS. We recommend saving this code in a safe and secure place, such as with a screenshot in a password protected folder or written down and locked in a safe.

Logging In

Once you have Two-Factor Authentication enabled, we'll send you your Two-Factor code via SMS once you enter your valid username and password. This should appear at the top of your screen in most phones, so it should be fairly seamless! After you enter your code correctly, you'll be logged into your account.

On iOS: On Android:

If you don't receive your code, click on "I did not receive a code" to re-send it.

You don't need to use Two-Factor Authentication once you're logged in, and can instead use your Touch ID or PIN.

Using Your Backup Code

If you lose your phone and need to use your backup code, you can do so from the same login screen. Keep in mind that doing so will automatically turn off Two-Factor Authentication.

On iOS: On Android:

Disabling Two-Factor Authentication

  • Open up your account menu
  • Tap on Settings
  • Tap on Two-Factor Authentication
  • Toggle the feature off
On iOS: On Android:

Supported Platforms
